What Home Made Bath Salts Can Do For You

I don't know why I didn't care to try a colorful package of bath salts at the store until now except for the fact that I knew nothing about them. They just looked so colorful and I knew I wasn't supposed to ingest them. Maybe it was just a luxury for the rich and famous.

Fortunately for me, I took to my curiosity and researched on mother nature's ways of easing my well-being including aromatherapy. And boy did I land on a gold mine of information! Who knew that my circulation would be so much better after rubbing in some homemade bath salts onto my skin? And who knew that this effect was historically achieved by stepping into a hot spring or a natural mineral bath? It is as if all of the epsom and dead sea salt were harvested just to help me exfoliate my skin. And who knew that the aromatherapy's natural benefit of smelling so fragrant be healthy for me?

And who knew that I would be able to treat my pimples a lot better by exfoliating all my pores from head to toe with these homemade bath salts? All the scrubbing to open up the pores, to free the dirt and sweat to be washed away. So great! I am imagining how rejuvenated my entire skin will be after all the unpleasantness is purged and removed. If I were to be this close to getting pimples on my face and back, I would be confident to know that the homemade bath salts would be the perfect relief.

The added benefit of using homemade bath salts are not just revolving around cleanliness, but also with disinfecting properties, too. You can apply rubbing these epson bath salts to the skin when it is afflicted with Athlete's Foot or eczema, or when you have some type of skin infection (or a rash). This can also be used to treat bug bites, too.

We won't stop there, because there's more! I've been talking about all of the helpfulness that homemade bath salts can do externally, but what is really nice is what they can do internally. If you have any tension in your muscles, you can massage the salts into your joints. I am sure that you must have experienced muscle tenderness at least once in your life.

If you have ever thought about how smelling something really nice has oftentimes transformed your mood, then you will enjoy the fact that this is what aromatherapy does. When you smell essence oils like rose hips and lavender you can relieve stress and anxiety, and ultimately ease your mind.

If you stay in the bath long enough, be careful as your fingers will lose moisture and look like prunes. There's only so much that the Epsom bath salts can do, as they do adjust the composition of the bath water and create a protective layer on the skin so that water does not enter or leave too much.

You can only imagine how much better you will feel knowing that you made these bath salts right at home, where you got to choose what scents, what colors, and what beautiful jar you put the salts into. All those health and beauty benefits in one small jar.

Sydney Garrett loves homemade bath salts and probably has a lifetime supply of bath soaps ingredients for life.
